Beds are measured twice: once for the room, once for the frame around the mattress.
A queen mattress is 60 × 80 inches and a king 76 × 80 inches, but the frame adds to both — often 4–8 inches of width and more for wingback or channel-tufted headboards. Each bed page lists the overall size so you can plan nightstands (allow at least 24 inches each side) and a walkway of about 30 inches at the foot.
Platform beds need no box spring; slatted frames should have slats no more than about 3 inches apart for most foam and hybrid mattresses. Upholstered headboards bring softness and some sound absorption; wood and cane read lighter in a small room. Check the headboard height against windows and any sloped ceiling.
Beds arrive flat-packed to your door in 7–10 business days from New Jersey stock. If you would rather see the size first, choose free pickup in Midland Park.
