The Challenge
511 Newark Avenue replaced a commercial site on one of Jersey City's main corridors with a new five-story building of 40 studio apartments. Studios lease on how livable they feel, and a bare small room tends to look smaller than it is.
Harbor View Builders needed every unit furnished to one consistent standard, so the building could be shown — and lived in — as a complete product rather than one model unit and 39 empty rooms.
